The idea that all it takes is a hook and one or lines about a subject that encourages engagement with the written medium is looked down upon when it comes to a sensitive topic of reading prowess. Being drawn into said topics like enjoyment, happiness, empathy, hope, mindlessness, passion, or other strong feelings are possible to use against the reader themselves to grab them directly in an indirect method which moves their intrigue. Attraction being the first step of becoming a lover of written speech, of being a part of Lyrical Manipulation.

In those latter string of words, you were woken up to understand how the process works. Now we must go deeper to further master the trap and its mechanics.


Similar to a leader using commands to control the willing, the subject must be capable of following commends for being enthralled to readily see the context as law. If the reader attempts to resist or the lure loses its effect for even a moment, the effect of walking freely through the contestant volley of idioms, passages, and phrases may become inert, like a meal of consumable leftovers becoming undesirable at the last minute. Using a body of lyrics to fill a story without a solid push or a poem without a tangible pull may tear the puppet from the strings suddenly and violently.


The author doesn’t need to throw punchlines. All they need is trends that pressures the flock into needed guidance. When face to face, a father or mother can look at their child with any expression which makes them question themselves. With text, a writer could chose many expressions of words, or a combination of meanings and contexts to sweeten the believer with the idea that they want to know even more about the subject matter. An example of encompassed relations alone can make cults believe they’re heroes.


One should understand that the author crafts their bait like context for the reading audience by using relations. Perspectives of the author such as their struggles in the real world gives a mindset for skeptics and spectators to follow using persuasive agreements. Statements like “I love you” will have as much impact as a cultural swear or a promise made by a loved one. Others who have shared the experience will reinforce the topic by carefully implanting the need to find the mentioned bait out of thrills or interest. Before they know it, they have designed the trend themselves, becoming a medium for media for the author.

Should you the reader ever sense a risk of expose to the uncanny force of nature of expressions and calming vocabulary, ask yourself these notions:


When should I start questioning the author’s notions?

How does the author know I would question their notions?

Does the author really know who’s reading this?

Why does those this author care about the reader? What’s the connection between the two?

Are readers connected to this source trying to convince others to follow the author’s commends, perspective, or trends willingly or through emotional influence?


Once the author has ‘reached’ or ‘touched’ the reader into questioning the topic itself or passing this knowledge on to enlighten others like them, they may try to use ethics and moral reasoning to change their ideals or break away the notion of knowing the truth. No matter how hard they try, they have indoctrinated themselves, they have followed the words, they have been manipulated, and they have become a fan.
